DESCRIPTION:
An annual activity held during semestral break. Its purpose is to create a high quality material needed to produce a particular film. The story is based on the bible depending on the theme or in a real life story of an individual in the church.


OBJECTIVE:
i.      To provide the venue for the creation of thoughts, ideas and feelings through Film Production.
ii.     To encourage new or innovative forms or styles in creation of film and to enhance the ability of each member in the production aspect of a theater..


THEME:
Tahanan Mo, Tahanan Natin (A Partnership For The Filipino Home) In relation to UNTV’s 8th year as the  country’s First and Only Public Service Channel.

PROFILE
  1. ADVOCACY PLUG
A Advocacy Plug is a segment that gives information about the right manner of an individual, its main purpose is to bring positive changes to the perspective of an individual in accordance of the holy scriptures.


  1. NASUSULAT
A Nasusulat segment an enlightening verse from the scriptures is read and portrayed to let us understand its further essence. It encourages every viewer to form this habit of starting a day the right way and live every day the Christian way.


  1. SHORT FILM
A short film is defined as an original motion picture that has a running time of 20 minutes including all credits. The film offers the brethren an entertaining and interesting insight of a real life story of an individual. Each film should be unique and cover a diverse range of issues, ideas or images. Creativity and simple story-telling is the key to a successful and meaningful short/feature film.

Contribution
  Event Expenses = 10,000.00
  Food and Drinks Expenses = 5,000.00
  Miscellaneous Expenses = 3,000.00
(Group Contribution 3,000.00 each)


GUIDELINES

1.     Submit Advertising or Advocacy Plug entry, Nasusulat entry and Short film entry (viewable on a standard DVD player) or mpeg files on a CD-ROM. Include 4 seconds of black, no slates or bars. Single entries must be on individual disks. Series should be edited together on one disk with 2 seconds of black between each entry. Computer-based formats such as QuickTime or Flash should have a maximum screen size of 1024(h) x 768(v) or a VLC format.
2.     The contestant shall hold MMDTK and its affiliates, free and harmless from any suit, demand, debt, obligation, expense or liability arising from any misrepresentation or fraud in connection with their entry submitted to the Festival.
3.     Each entry must be an original composition of the contestant and all rights of copyright to the entry must be owned exclusively by the contestant.
4.     The Demo CD must be clear, viewable and audible.
5.     Only the title shall be printed on the CD.
6.     In the short film entries, there must be an introduction and synopsis of the story
7.     Submission of all entries must be sealed in short brown envelope.
8.     NOTE: Entries may undergo possible enhancement and revisions if needed.
9.     All submitting entries to the competition are deemed to have accepted the rules of the competition and agree to abide hereby.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

Screenplay/Concept                 =          25%
(Is it original?, Was it captivating?, What is the aim/purpose of the film? Does it successfully achieve its aim/purpose?)

Cinematography                       =          20%
(Are technical skills and/or methods used? Does the cinematographer make good use of lighting and camera positioning?)

Editing                                     =          20%
(Does the film flawlessly flow from scene to scene? Does the editing aid or hinder the emotional build-up?)

Soundtrack                              =          10%
(Is it original?, Does it capture the mood of the scene?)

Acting/Creative Ability              =          25%
(Are the performances realist? Are the selected actors suited for their roles?)
